In the race for U.S. Congress, currently held by incumbent Mark Amodei, an Independent American Party (IAP) candidate, Lynn Chapman, has been incorrectly categorized as a Democrat.

As of this writing, it appears the Tahoe Conservancy is about to acquire Motel Six, a happy ending for a motel that used to charge six dollars. I happened to have enjoyed a summer there myself some sixty-three summers ago. Yes, in that heavenly summer of ’61, Motel Six was the Sands, and they hired a 17-year-old lifeguard to work their pool for the summer, yours truly.

We suspect Einstein, our cat of the week, is at least part Maine Coon. He is a big, beautiful, long-haired tabby with a sweet personality. He grew up with a dominant female cat that bullied him, leaving him a bit shy and introverted, and uncertain with new situations and people.
