✭I just found out that the only way to reset the Enchanter Survey on Eastmarch is by logging out and in or fast travel to the closest wayshrine. Not even the /reloadui works and it doesn't matter how far you go.
This system is hateful. It really needs to be fixed. But while it isn't for now on I'm just going to delete all Enchanter Surveys from Eastmarch.

Just tested with a couple I had... no change on my end, reset is the same that it's always been (and even in a document I've shared in my signature). Took me 9 seconds to reset it on my horse.

✭✭I find doing surveys to be a chore. But I just save them up till they have a double resource node event. Of course, double resource does not apply to the surveys, but...I grab everything while traveling across land to the next survey. or I grab everything while doing a U-turn to do another survey in the same location. It's a pretty tiring 2-3 days, but I get everything done. And it gives me another reason to gather resources during a double resource event. Because honestly, I don't like mindlessly farming. Overall, it's a win-win situation and nets me tons of gold mats in the end.

✭✭✭honestly, my vote is this:
give those people that want to do them all in one go the option to do it. My thought would be to add an NPC that would provide you with a survey conversion item that you consume when you use it on a single stack of surveys, one per each survey type (enchanting, alchemy, clothing, etc), it gives you the mats that you would have gotten if you had farmed each one at a cost of 20k gold per one with the following conditions:
- This option only applies to surveys that are stacked up to at least 5 per survey writ named type, and consumes 5 at a time
- zone specific rewards do not apply (nirncrux, aetherial dust, etc)
- CP passives don't apply to resources gained.
- 30 second cooldown after use.
reasons for setting it up this way are thus, it allows players that want to get a massive influx of mats fast the option to do so at the cost of a small to medium sized gold sink per item per person. the reason for the stacks is that this is a mechanic that exists already in the game, and makes it so that to reap the benefit of this time saving mechanic you have to wait till you have a decent stack. (Most people hoard these things for months so shouldn't be an issue) the limitations are there to provide players that are willing to spend the time to complete them. the reason for the 5 at time restriction is to allow for non ESO plus users to do inventory management, and prevent server lag.

Making them tradeable would probably solve most of the problem. They would be sold cheaper than the material they give but the people that don’t want to bother with them would still get a bit of gold from them and the players that actually enjoy doing them would be able to do more of them and get rewarded for their work.

I am with wolfie1.0. If someone wants surveys to be easier, then they should also get fewer rewards.
For myself, I stock pile them up because I prefer to do many at the same node. The current system is ok, but a smaller range to reset would be nice on some of the nodes. At the same time, I do like the current rewards for the time taken to do them.
It would be nice if they could fix the bug that only some accounts get Northern Elsweyr surveys. Two of our accounts (both ESO plus) have gotten 0 Northern Elsweyr surveys, but my non-Eso plus account (with fewer crafter characters) has 40 of them.
I wonder if the issue is because the eso plus accounts don't own that expansion, since they get it free. But, they pay for it, so should get the rewards like every other zone. The one account that does get them owns that expansion.
Has anyone else noticed that?

I would like if they added where you could have the hirelings under crafting passives do surveys or send companions out to do surveys
